Hi there
I'm new on this forum. Glad to have found this as most tips here are very thoroughly explained so it's not just use this and that. Fantastic!
I'm 34 (going on 35), female, just moved to Australia a couple of months ago and been job hunting for 4 months. So am pretty broke and will be in serious financial woes if I don't get some income in soon.
But the new property doesn't seem to be helping. In fact, since getting house husband has not been able to get $ owing him, we have constantly new problems with house and builder that is costing us financially and in terms of time. And, I have not been able to land on a job (though job-wise ok for hubby). A few cases of nearly getting the job but then lost it, or nearly getting a sale of an item that would bring in some $ but then lost it again. Only freelance jobs from the country I moved from, but barely enough. Now we have lodged official complaints about the builder to legal organisations here. Marriage wise, we are still working it out.
Actually, on the day we were supposed to move in (days before CNY this year), we actually had to fly away cos a family member was on the verge of death. That family member is now recovered. Should be coincidental since this incident is in another country? Can't be the bad luck is so strong! But in any case, my husband returned earlier than I, so he moved in first, alone (before CNY). Hope someone can help! Sorry, this is a long one but I am so confused, and the situation isn't getting any better. I know it's long. If can't answer all the questions, answer some, esp. about master bedroom?
My husband's kua is 2, mine is 8. I'm a Wood Rabbit, he, a Metal Boar. Our house faces SW. Sorry, I don't know how to attach an image here, so I uploaded the house plans here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/48735937@N07/?saved=1
The bedrooms on the 1st floor get the traffic noise. Bedroom 3 gets the afternoon sun. Entire 1st floor can be really warm on a hot day. Bedroom on ground floor has ensuite, is more quiet, but does not get any views. Ensuite bathroom is on the front of house (left side if looking out from house), and in lieu of its position, the window blinds have to be shut most of the time, and if the windows are open, the constant threat of someone taking a peak. Blinds for ground floor bedroom has to be shut most of the time too. Switchboard's located in this room, and the aircon above the bedhead.
All bedrooms have mirrored sliding doors for the wardrobes. The sliding mirror wardrobe doors are bigger in both rooms upstairs and so can reflect 3/4 of the bed. Part of the bed will be under a corner of a window in the bedrooms upstairs. (The skirting of window is portruding, with sharp corner)
House and fence painted white. Bricks used for half of house exterior. Colour of bricks - dark brown, almost maroon. Built-in cabinets are white and dark brown with steel rectangular handles.
There is a solar panel on the roof.
We don't have greens in our yard yet except for grass and a few very short grass bushes which are still growing as ours is a new property and all the plants here take years to grow. And the tree out in the front of the house doesn't look very healthy. Neighbours have luscious trees and birds though.
Questions: 1. Based on the layout, are we missing any corners for ground floor and 1st floor (since the wardrobe recedes into an extra space)?
2. How do I impose the Flying Star chart onto the layout since my SW is not at a corner?
3. Which are the best rooms for master bedroom, and home office (work scope - writing & design - for me - female kua 8? (Husband strongly prefers ground floor bedroom for the ensuite and room temperature. I prefer the 1st floor bedrooms cos I like views with some greenery, and prefer the more spacious 1st floor bathroom with windows opened all the time but agree on the convenience of ensuite bathroom and that the ground floor bedroom is quieter. Also, mirrors are smaller (if you slide the doors one side, the remaining one doesn't reflect the bed at all), and the bed doesn't fall under the sharp window skirting, though it does rest under the aircon)
4. If we have to go with the ground floor bedroom for our master bedroom, what are the remedies, since we will have to sleep with our heads to the SE wall, and the driveway on the other side of this wall? (Cos if I try to shift to another room, there'll be loads of friction)
5. Does it matter that the switchboard and protruding television point (with no television mounted) are in the master bedroom, and that the aircon is directly above our heads?
6. The location of the ensuite toilet is South, if looking at the ground floor fengshui. But if just looking at the area of the bedroom + toilet, the shower and toilet portions take up South, whilst the sink takes up Southwest. Which direction reading should I follow? Is it good/ok to place a red lamp with 4 double happiness cut out on its lamp shade in the SW corner next to the sink (reflected by the mirror)? There are 2 of these lamps, originally meant for each bedside table. If I place one in the bathroom, only one left for the room.
7. Based on the layout and my kua number, which is the best position to place my desk in the office, if I were to locate the office in bedroom 3 (SW is actually outside the door, right where the last few steps of the stairs are. If I place the desk diagonally from door, I have to back into a corner, and the aircon will be above me. If I don't back into a corner, I will be facing the wall shared by the toilet, which is also NE. But not sure if this corner actually exist in lieu of the receding wardrobe issue).
8. Although the house facing SW is good for me (kua 8, it's not good for my husband (kua 2), and this year, number 5 star is in SW. What is the best way to remedy so we can better our financial situation - metal wind chime at door, and refrain from adding a water feature at entrance? Our front door is black! Apart from building woes, husband has difficulty getting monies owing to him. And I need career luck to start first aid on finances. As listed in the layout, we are next to a 2-way main road. The traffic is moderately heavy and fast (not like express ways but still not quiet like side roads. Quite noisy). But there's a bus-stop just right outside the door. Direction west to east. Tree is in front of living room window but not in front of main door. As mentioned, tree doesn't look too healthy, and its maroon in colour.
9. Our laundry is in NE, where the Grand Duke is this year. The dryer is next to the sink and on top of the washer, which unfortunately, is hot and noisy and there's no where else to place this. Within the same room, separated partly by a wall, is a toilet. This room gets no light. Any remedies?
10. The electric box, being near and directly in front of the toilet window, is a poison arrow. In this case, does this shar chi actually neutralise the shar chi of the toilet?
11. Number 8 star is right smack in the corridor leading into the ground floor bedroom, just outside the under stairway storage. No way to let good chi accumulate here. Any remedies?
12. Can we use mirror tints for our windows?
13. Can we place a mirrored shoe cabinet next to the main door which will reflect a slight portion of the stove and oven?
14. The television hanging on the wall in the living room is big, black and reflective. What it reflects though is just head to chest when we are seated in front of it (which is a lot of the time). Any remedies?
15. Husband's Metal Boar and I Wood Rabbit. Metal destroys wood. Any remedies?
Thanks!
